What happened to my goal setters?

It’s Friday again and I haven’t heard from my weekly goal setters in quite a while.   I hope you haven’t given up on your goals, because I haven’t given up on mine.  I am continuing to do my 100 wall push-ups a day and I’ve stuck to my vegetarian diet all week.  No meat, eggs or cheese all week.  I did take a few spoonfuls of some vanilla soft-serve last night, so maybe that had some egg product, but not too bad considering I’m still fighting this head/chest cold.

So how are you Ami, Jen, Linda and Julie?  Vicki, you never did post your goals.  How about this for a goal…my goal is to feel 100% better by this time next Friday.  I don’t know that I have too much strength to set many more goals than that for the week.  Actually, I’m going to say that if my cold is cleared up by Monday that I’m going to run at least 8 miles between now and next Friday.  I’ve got to get back on track or I’ll be walking my 5k on the 15th and that’s not a good thing.

Goals are so important, but what’s most important is to set achievable goals.  I’ve got quite a long way left to go until my goal weight and I need to set small realistic goals so that I have something to celebrate and motivate each week.  I don’t need anything making me feel like a failure and pushing back toward that mentality.

We’ve started a Biggest Loser mini-series at work today.  It’s $5 for four weeks and we weigh in every Friday.  On the work scale I was 192.8 so I will update you every Friday until the series is over.  I did horrible on the last challenge, only losing 4 lbs in 4 months.  So sad, but hey it’s a loss.

I feel like my illness is causing me to ramble, so I’ll end it here.  Keep me posted on your goals.  I really want us to all inspire and motivate each other.  Good luck and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Yeah, I have been slacking on the posts for setting goals, sorry. I haven’t given up and my weight continues to drop and inches are slowly but surely coming off. However, going to the gym has become near impossible. My little peanut is going through a mommy phase and does not take well to the sitters at the gym. So, my wonderful husband is considering letting us buy a treadmill so I can ensure my workouts happen. I have been walking when the wee one lets me. So, back to setting some goals……1) do a workout/activity for 1 hour everyday 2) spend at least 1/2 hour every day to do something I enjoy outside of working out (me time). I have been loosing sight of the importance of this. Lastly…..I will set up a time to go out with friends, in the next month, as this too has been lacking.
    Have a great weekend!!!!!! 🙂

I am not sure I ever really laid out goals…I have lots of good intentions and then, you know how that goes. 🙂 I have been eating fairly healthy–one little slip earlier this week, but the fridge/pantry are full of healthy things. I just need to remember how much fun I have cooking/preparing the food and do that in the mornings when I get ready for work. Easy to let the mornings slip away and then get caught up in the girls school stuff, or our latest issue @ home–our 7 year old rescue lab is having some issues. So, dealing with others throws me in a funk.

The past 2 Fridays, not today because I had a meeting, I’ve been going to this awesome yoga class–I am going to try to make that as much as my schedule allows. I like Linda’s goal of spending at least 1/2 hour a day on me time. I am committing to that–at least by doing some more reading.

    So, my goals:
*Get to weekly yoga class as much as possible
*Workout at home when unable to go to class and at least 4x per week (I hate going to the gym, so that’s not an option for me)
*Continue on my healthier, organic and somewhat veggie ways of eating
    *Get some me time

Here’s to a great week everyone! We’ll actually be at our house over the weekend–doing yardwork and clearing out my little garden patch that I’ve been meaning to start for 2 years! Oh, and girls night tonight at a friend’s house–see–working on that last goal. 🙂

Yikes! I apologize for never posting my goals. The strange thing is… I posted them somewhere out there in cyberspace! Doh!

I’m going on a 7 day cruise soon, so my immediate goal is to come back weighing the same (or less). I eat a lot on a cruise but try to make it healthy choices — except for dessert! I exercise 2 hours a day on a cruise so that I CAN eat the good food!

My long-term goal is to reach my goal weight by Aug. 1st. Another goal is to improve my marathon time. I have until Oct. 31st to work on that one.
